DUES DEDUCTIBILITY PERCENTAGE FOR 2024 The official percentage of NAA dues that is non-deductible for income tax purposes in 2024 should be disclosed to your members on your applications and/or dues renewal statements. According to the lobbying deduction provisions of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, associations must estimate the percentage of non-deductible dues payments. NOTE: The percentage of NAA dues that will be non-deductible for income tax purposes in 2024 has not yet been determined. This percentage is calculated using the total amount of dues NAA receives from members and the total amount that is expended on lobbying. The amount that NAA expends on lobbying includes the partnership contribution for the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), and how that money is expended by NMHC. Property Management Company
Choose this if you own/operate/develop residential property with units in multi family communities. All employees of the member are granted benefit of membership. Dues are based on the total number of apartment homes owned/managed in our Iowa territory located in the list of counties covered by GIAA*.
ANNUAL DUES
- 1-1000 Units: $250 base fee + $1.75 per unit
- 1001-2000 Units: $275 base fee + $1.65 per unit
- 2001+ Units: $300 base fee + $1.55 per unit
*Counties NOT included: Pottawattamie, Mills, Cass.
Independent Rental Owner (IRO)
Choose this if you own/operate/develop residential property and only if you have less than 50 units that you self-manage.

$125 up to 50 units
Not-For-Profit Owner/Manager
An entity or company that owns and/or manages residential property and exists to create affordable housing opportunities. Dues are based on the total number of apartment homes owned/managed in our Iowa territory.
ANNUAL DUES
$100 base fee + $.55 per unit
Apartment Community
This is only if your company is already a member and needs to add a new property. Properties need to be located in the list of counties covered by GIAA*. If the property is already a member through the previous owner/management company please contact the office as the unit fees may not yet be due.

Pottawattamie, Mills, Cass.
