What We're Advocating

Advocate Impact: During last month’s Advocate conference, nearly 900 attendees used their voices across more than 300 Capitol Hill meetings to advocate for key housing priorities. Read more on what priorities attendees advocated for.  

Fair Housing: On Monday, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) finalized its withdrawal of several guidance documents related to Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. This announcement built on recent agency actions that sought to withdraw rules and guidance related to disparate impact liability, criminal screening procedures and emotional support animal requests. Read more

21st Century ROAD to Housing Act: “The White House has backed the Senate's amendments, but many members of the House, including those who worked on the original legislation, say the Senate's version overreaches or doesn't include concerns the House bill tried to address. That complaint is also bipartisan, raised by both House Financial Services Chair French Hill, R-Ark., and ranking member Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who are heading the House's efforts.” (PBS
