The Big Picture: Housing affordability continues to dominate media conversations nationwide, with significant pieces of legislation moving ahead in several states. Notably, a wide-ranging bill covering zoning and construction was passed in Connecticut, including provisions promoting transit-oriented development. In Washington state, a church has been repurposed to add 60 affordable housing units, adding hope to the local community. Several states - including New Hampshire - are struggling to implement housing initiatives due to their respective political landscapes.
